Encourage the promotion of young art

Since 1998 E. Gutzwiller & Cie, Banquiers, have been the main sponsor of the "Liste“ (The Young Art Fair). The “Liste” is known as a fringe art fair for young artists and takes places in Basel at the same time as the Art Basel fair every June.

The history of the success of the “Liste” began in 1996 in Basel. The “Liste” focuses on the promotion of young artists and newcomer galleries. The “Liste” has gradually established itself in the Art World and is now one of he most important fairs for young artists as well as a platform for contemporary art and young galleries.
Only young galleries with topical art can participate in “The Young Art Fair”. The galleries must have been opened within the last five years and should exhibit works of art by artists no older than 40 years.
